About the event
Our a cappella programme moves from Norway to Estonia and back, with Kverno's double-choir Ave Maris Stella, Rautavaara's Lähtö, Sandström's Det är en ros utsprungen, and Arvo Pärt's The Beatitudes for choir and organ. In between these pieces, with their luminous choral colours, you will hear brand new music for organ and electronics by Belgian composer Alice Hebborn. Her Éclat and multi-part Rêver l'horizon will be woven through the evening. We'll close with a BCC favourite: Ēriks Ešenvalds' shimmering Stars, in which the choir is accompanied by tuned wine glasses.
